Confidence

It is what kicks that annoying emotion of fear in the ass.

It is what makes things possible.

It is what makes life fun.

It is how we adventure, find new places, meet new people.

It opens our awareness, makes our experiences incredibly more vibrant and meaningful.

It elevates our consciousness.

It relaxes us. It brings a feeling of home and comfort into our souls.

It is a love for life, for others, for experiences and opportunities, and most importantly….it is a love for ourselves.

Confidence completely comes from within. It is comfort we find within ourselves and our bodies. It is the opposite of negative self talk. It is positive affirmations.

Those tummy butterflies that appear right before we are about to do something that scares us ….. those are excitement ( borrowing this incredible insight from the book Fearless ) and joyful anticipation for the incredible road block we are about to tackle and this incredible full of life experience we are about to have.

Let confidence triumph over fear.

Turn fear to excitement.

Turn living…into THRIVING.

Delaying Happiness

At what point did we decide we had to wait to be happy. At what point did we decide we have to earn happiness. And in order to be happy, we had to go do something first, or have to achieve something, that we have to accomplish something that will make us feel worthy enough of feeling happy. Man do I wish I was alive at the moment somebody had this thought so I could say wait a minute NO.

We are worthy now.

We are enough now.

That was our birthright that got taken from us.

You do not need to do anything, or prove to anyone, that you are worthy enough to have what it is that you want that makes you happy.

We got so caught up in the idea that we have to work first and play later. We spend our days doing what we think we have to do, dragging ourselves through the day waiting for the moment we can go have fun, and then when we get to this moment we have set aside for fun, we are so exhausted we collapse.

Always doing what we think we should be doing.

Well here’s your wake up call, your permission slip, and guidance.

DO WHAT BRINGS YOU JOY.

GET CLEAR ON YOUR IDEAL LIFE.

WRITE IT DOWN.

PRINT OUT PICTURES OF IT. LOOK AT THEM EVERYDAY.

THEN GO HAVE FUN.

( Intertwined with being responsible ~ making money, paying bills, being respectful etc )

Instead of acting through thoughts of what you think you should be doing, you will find you start acting based off of feelings, and impulses.

This is intuition. Guidance. Guiding you towards what you just asked for. ( your ideal life )

and then notice . . .

suddenly, somehow magically, (through the universal laws) the exact opportunities that bring you the ideal life you are wanting, start showing up.

Take Them.

We don’t need to delay happiness. We just got stuck in an awful cycle of doing that for so long we don’t know anything other than that.

but we are starting to wake up again. THANK YOU UNIVERSE.

Our system as been so skewed for too long.

So remember –

You are worthy.

You are enough.

So what’s next for you?

And hopefully not to confuse you ~ but some delayed happiness is good as well. Anticipation is a nice way to build up positive energys like excitement.

6 Tips

You can do right now to shift your vibration back into alignment.

I do these all the time when life gets a little crazy.  They keep me balanced, alert and able to make good decisions when they really count.

May they be just as transformative for you as they have been for me

1. Nothing needs your immediate attention right now.

Yes there may be an inbox full of emails, more DMs than you can keep track of, and dishes in the sink . . . but they aren’t going anywhere.

Just you, taking a much needed minute for you.

Because you deserve it.

2.  Become Present in the Current Moment. 

Feel your feet on the floor or feel your weight in the chair.  Become grounded to the earth. Let it support you.

3. Create a feeling of Space in your mind.

Allow it to open and be clear. Expand your awareness outward. Breath deep and imagine sending air to your brain. May sound weird! but it works!!

4. Your thoughts are separate from Y o u.

We are souls that can take a backseat to our overactive minds. View your thoughts like a movie you aren’t really interested in. They can be there in the background, but you don’t actually have to engage with them.

Choose the ones you want to listen to and ignore the ones you don’t.

Most are unnecessary and just background noise.

5. Focus on your Breathing.

Notice how the air is cool on the inhale, and slightly warmer on the exhale. Notice the rise and fall of your chest/belly. Imagine a flow of energy moving through your body and life flourishing throughout your cells.

6. Think of 3 things you are G r a t e f u l for. 

Really grateful for.

And feel the loving and comforting feeling flood your body when thinking about them.

Enjoy this time of peace. You deserve it. After all, being peaceful and full of joy is our birthright. 

You have the ability to return back to this space at any time you need to.

Broccoli Date Beauty Bowl

Our bodies have a built in way to let us know exactly what foods we need….and don’t need for that matter.

Just as a dog, or any other wild animal, we too can instinctively know what foods are good for us in the moment and which ones are not.

It’s about tapping into those subtle signs, understanding what they mean, and then actually listening to them and correctly taking action.

Eating what our body recognizes gives it the ability to preform at it’s highest level. Giving us the energy we long for, soft clear vibrant skin, shiny strong hair, sparkling white eyes, a humming digestive system, and luscious restful sleep.

We tap into this inner knowing by slowing down.

Yeah I know, the opposite of what we want to do. Or think we want to do…

For me, I did this by switching my mindset around meal times. Viewing eating as more of a sacrid spiritual practice that feeds my body and soul, rather than seeing the time I spend eating as not productive and almost a waste of time.

My relationship with food has been on both ends of the spectrum, but now…

I chose to cherish the time I spend eating, as well as the foods I chose to eat, just as much as all the other high priority items in my life.

The foods we eat are important.

But HOW we eat them is just as important.

We are fed much more by the food we eat when we take time to appreciate each bite.

Healing our relationship with food is a beautiful thing.

It doesn’t happen over night. It is a practice and a lot of inner growth can occur as well.

The food off our plates is also vitality important and feeds us just as much.

Healing our relationship with food may mean healing one, or some, of those other areas as well.

A lot of the time we crave certain foods, not because our body actually wants them, but for reasons other than nutritional needs.

We may be craving fulfillment in other areas of our life such as

Relationships
Movement
The work we do
Spirituality

Be patient with yourself.

Set an intention and allow yourself the space to let it unfold.

This is what I am currently eating a lot. With different variations. If this is completely different from how you eat…baby steps. Pick up some dates the next time you’re at the store and try those out. They are little pieces of sweet heaven. Add those in to your next typical salad or just as a snack.

Dramatic changes don’t happen all at once…and we don’t want them to. There’s to much resistance when they do. Baby step your way into it…and it’ll manifest way quicker than if you try tackling it all at once.

Spinach

Arugula

Parsley

Red cabbage

Broccoli florets

Cucumber

Dates

Pecans

DRESSING**:

Avocado Blood Orange Oil ( this stuff is bomb. I received it as a gift last week, it is heaven. Slightly sweet and perfectly rich)

Hemp Oil

Maca powder

Barley Grass Juice Powder

**You don’t have to use this dressing. Something simple like olive oil, lemon juice, and maple syrup is wonderful. A mustard vinaigrette is nice as well. Whatever sounds good to you.

Keep it simple and try to make your own dressing to keep it as whole and unprocessed as possible.

***For those suffering from gut issues and low stomach acids, go ahead and leave out the red cabbage and add everything else. This is a wonderful meal for the gut, makes digestion easy on the stomach, and provides a  lot of nutrition.

Chew thoroughly 🙂

Lifes Guidance System

Resistance. Stress. Anxiety. Struggle. Anger. Sorrow. Frustration. Hurt. Worry.

These are our signs to stop – and pay attention.

Just like the stop signs we see every day while driving…. it, along with these emotions, are there for our protection.

They come from our intuition. That gut feeling we get, but usually don’t follow. Our intuition guides us to the path with least resistance. Aka…less struggle, more flow and joy.

So, I encourage you the next time you are trying to do something and for whatever reason it is just not happening at all and it is an incredible struggle to do what it is you are wanting to do…see it as your sign, and stop. Completely stop and either go do something else…or just sit. And wait. And watch.

Watch your mind go from crazy to more relaxed.

And watch the solution present itself. Sometimes right away. Sometimes later in the day or the following day.

Resistance of what is creates more resistance. The more we try and force something…the farther away we push it. Let go, and let it be. Even forget about it for awhile. This allows the energy from yourself and whatever it is you’re trying to do flow freely again and the solution will be able to fix itself with utter ease.

I feel we all kind of really wish there was an easy button for life or a written out step by step guide on how to live an incredibly fulfilled joyful life.

Well….there kind of is.

It’s our intuition.

It literally guides us moment by moment. Letting us know if we are going in the wrong direction or if what we are doing is aligned.

The only problem is we have gotten really good at ignoring it and instead, doing what we think we should be doing or what society tells us to do.

We’ve become stuck on ‘thinking’ instead of feeling.

Thinking usually leads us in the opposite direction. Feeling tells us exactly what we need to live joyously.

But wait!…it’s too vulnerable and feminine to feel.

No.

That’s society and your ‘thinking mind’ talking. It is actually extremely powerful to be able to understand the connection between feeling and doing. And those times you come across someone who has figured this completely out, they are actually kind of intimidating. Not in a threatened way, but in a wow, they seem to have a really good grasp on this living thing.

One day….this will be taught in schools. Maybe it does in some already.

I know statistics and complex chemical equations come into play in the lives of many…but understanding the basic foundation of how to live in the bodies we are in…and in a way that helps us thrive and live out life the best way possible….I feel that should come first.

Understanding we have a built in guide that lets us know the direction of most joy, most peace, most ease….man, I wish I would have known that earlier!

– Struggle becomes almost non-existent. ( Almost because everything has an opposite. We can’t have peace without chaos)

– Joy and ease of living become the normal way of being. Not just an occasional awesome day or anticipation build up for a vacation.

We have forgotten the importance of listening to our intuition. It’s been put on the back burner.

Let’s remember what it feels like to follow it. To follow the joy.

The joy that this life is really all about.
